1. Your Right to Cancel & Return (Change of Mind)

If you change your mind about your purchase, you can request a return within 30 days of receiving your order. This extends the standard 14-day cooling-off period for online purchases in the UK.

For change-of-mind returns:

  • You must submit your return request via your customer account (see below).
  • Items must meet our condition requirements (unworn, unwashed, with tags attached).
  • You are responsible for paying the return postage.
  • We will deduct a 10% returns administration fee per order from your refund to help cover processing and handling costs.

We will process your refund within 14 days of receiving the returned items, or receiving proof that they have been sent back, whichever is sooner.

2. Items That Cannot Be Returned

To keep our prices competitive on certain products, some items are sold on a non-returnable basis (unless they are faulty):

  • Clearance / Sale to Clear items – products clearly marked as Clearance, Last Chance or similar are non-returnable for change of mind. These have been priced to clear and are not eligible for standard returns.

Your statutory rights are not affected; if a clearance item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you may still be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund.

3. Condition Requirements for Returns

Retro and vintage football shirts are specialist items. To ensure fairness for all customers and maintain our quality standards, returned items must meet the following conditions:

  • Unworn and unwashed.
  • Free from odours (e.g. smoke, deodorant, aftershave, perfume).
  • In the original condition you received them.
  • All original tags, labels and packaging still attached where applicable.

If items are returned in a condition that does not meet these requirements, we may:

  • Decline the refund and return the item(s) to you; or
  • Offer a partial refund at our discretion.

4. How to Request a Return (Via Your Customer Account)

To help reduce administration and keep your experience smooth, all returns are managed through Shopify customer accounts.

  1. Log in to your RetroShirts.com account using the email address you used at checkout.
  2. Go to “Orders” and select the order that contains the item you want to return.
  3. Click “Request Return” (or similar option) and follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Choose the item(s) you wish to return and select the reason.
  5. Submit your request. Our team will review and confirm the next steps by email.

Once your return is authorised, you will receive instructions on where to send your parcel. Please obtain and keep proof of postage until your return has been processed.

5. Return Postage Costs

For standard change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for the cost of returning the item(s) to us.

  • We recommend using a tracked and insured service, as the parcel remains your responsibility until it reaches us.
  • Original outbound delivery charges are non-refundable, except where required by law.

6. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

We take quality seriously, especially for retro and vintage football shirts. If your item is:

  • Faulty or develops a fault within a reasonable period,
  • Damaged on arrival, or
  • Not as described,

please contact us via your customer account or our contact page as soon as possible.

For faulty, damaged or incorrect items, you are entitled to a remedy in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We will offer a repair, replacement or refund, depending on the circumstances and your preference, where applicable.

No 10% returns administration fee will be deducted for approved faulty, damaged or incorrect item returns.

7. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item(s), we will:

  • Approve or decline the refund based on the condition of the goods and this policy.
  • Process the refund to your original payment method.

For eligible change-of-mind returns:

  • The refund amount will be the price you paid for the item(s), minus the 10% returns administration fee per order.
  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable unless we are required to refund them by law (for example, if you cancel your contract within the statutory cooling-off period and return your full order).

Please note that it can take several working days for your bank or card provider to show the refund on your statement, depending on their processing times.

8. UK-Only Orders

RetroShirts.com currently sells and ships to customers within the United Kingdom only. This returns policy therefore applies to UK orders placed via our website.

9. Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Returns & Refunds Policy affects your statutory rights under UK law, including:

  • Your right to a cooling-off period for certain online purchases.
  • Your rights where goods are faulty, damaged or not as described.
